The "Rough Grooved Surfaces" series was recorded on an internet radio station I ran in college with my friend Rob Nikzad (who went by "Darius Cole"). They are of lower quality as they were encoded from a high-bitrate RealAudio stream. In general, you'll find that I tend to either hold my mixes for a long time or try to mix records quickly to avoid monotony. Though, if you hate techno in the first place, you probably will find it all monotonous.

Untitled
|
My most recent set, recorded in 2007. Slower pace than the others.

Robot Republica
|
Very high bitrate (320kbps). My favorite of the mixsets. Aggressive, sometimes booty-ish (thanks to Robert Armani).

Architexture (Side A)
|
Originally intended as a mix tape, this was to be side "A". I never made a side "B" and decided I didn't feel like handing out mixtapes anymore. Slower, and full of a lot of older, more classic/common techno tracks. Has a bit of electroish sounds and some tribal crap.

Self Portrait
|
Goes through a few states: minimal, dark, bouncy, aggressive.
| |
Old acid set
|
I randomly found this on my drive one day and had forgotten about it. It's really old. The mixing quality isn't great, but it has some old classic acid techno tracks.

An attempt at 3 turntables, I quickly learned that just because you can spin on 2 doesn't mean you can do 3. It's listenable though and has some good driving sort of tracks. There's a few bad transitions.

The fastest, most aggressive of the sets I've done. Similar to Robot Republica and plays a lot of common tracks. In fact, the first 3 are the same. At about the 48 minute marker enters my favorite booty house track, "Ghetto Ho" by Trackhead Steve.

A tag team set between myself and Justin Rickles (Sinuous). This is also fast paced.

Ambient Hemorrhaging
|
Dark ambient, spacy sounding. I actually produced this entirely from scratch and recorded it all in one take live.
